Very sad week-end in Italy!

What a very sad week-end in Italy!
Saturday, a bomb near a school. Sunday an earthquake.

I hope that all my Italian friends are ok.
My thoughts are with all of you.

Not speaking of several cities and historic monuments (which I have visited) are now destroyed.

:(

News are not so clear about it.
But the quake struck between Modena and Mantova, about 35km north-northwest of Bologna.
This is a highly historical and cultural area. For me, that's where "Renaissance" started (Firenze, Bologna, ...).
Firenze is more to the South, maybe it didn't go that far.

Let's hope we will have more news from Italian depmoids.
Mainly I would like to know if they are ok.

Important thread from bongmute!

People lost Their Lives, and Properties, and the they would get not even one euro as a help, due the Italian *Crisis Progrramme*. I read it, and the TV said it too! Not Even One Euro.
The Same had happened with BERLUSCONI at the 2009 L'Aquila earthquake, and while he arranged his *political party* In That town he sold them down too.

As For the Girl, that so nice little girl, is a tragedy of all times! People who are parents can understand. *A Female Future * got lost, because somebody's has inner problems!

And as for the Big Destruction of the Italian historic monuments, it's a big loss, but i belive , they would find a way to keep them alive somehow, so people would see them again with pleasure!

Hope Every Italian inside here, to be safe and well!!!

Thanks!

Yes, it was a sad weekend. The most affected municipalities by the earthquake are Sant'Agostino (Ferrara), Finale Emilia e San Felice sul Panaro (Modena). The area is situated at the north of Bologna. These are some pics of the monuments and buildings damaged:

7 people died and 4000 displaced. Civil protection and Firemen are working hard to assist the population.

Even now there are some shakes (around 4 degrees Richter scale).

About the bomb of saturday in Brindisi exploded next to the entrance of a school, still they do not know if there is a link to Sacra Corona Unita or if it is the act of a madman. A 16 years old girl is died and 2 girls are in serious condition. A camera filmed a man with a remote control. Investigators are probing.

Thanks for the pics.

Very sad moments for Italia.

By the way looking to the pictures, buildings looks quit fragile, all made from terra cotta small bricks. If they're gonna rebuild them, I hope they will chose other materials to make them stronger and check all other old buidings surroundings these ones to avoid other collapses that could happened.

Sad and condolences to the families!

“It is very important in life to know when your cue comes.”
― Søren Kierkegaard

bona fide adj. Latin for "good faith," it signifies honesty, the "real thing" and, in the case of a party claiming title as "bona fide" purchaser or holder, it indicates innocence or lack of knowledge of any fact that would cast doubt on the right to hold title.
