Seems like a cornerstone of a GREAT collection would be to have X1 & X1 . Looks like I'd better set my sights on those for 2005 ! Pretty cool cat you got there Vlad. I like the 7 Speak & Spells you got ............ couldn't quite make it out but counted about 8 Ultras WHEW ! I think all you guys collections combined would make a nice DM museum .

I've played it 2 times. First time to hear. Second time to record the track with WaveLab and then I've burned on cd.

So, sorry if this seems a little dumb, but what is an acetate? Is it a kind of a one and only promo?

Also, how do you get them and how much do they usually cost?

i always like to see depeche mode collection pictures from different collectors.

it is always good to see how we are mad :)

and i have to send my big thanks to Vlad...
he hosted my pictures... and some of my items are his "kindly and always nice" presents...

for example 86-98 Cube... this was from his last pack (one the biggest packs i received before)

Guys... did u remember this Cube before? im giving one clue: Depmod Contests..!:):):)

[Edited on 18-8-2004 by sey_a]

Yeah, I also like to see how people's collections are. How many items they got and how they store them.
I emailed Pascal about his collection, but he didn't have a picture with all his stuff. Probably couldn't put it all in one photo:lol:

It's one thing when you see a persons collection list. It's a whole other thing when you see it in a pic. Thanks to all for the nice pics.

@depeche_collector

An acetate is an aluminium plate with a special lack foil on it. In the foil will be engraved as first time the finished and mastered track for a release on a record. Thats the first step to produce records.
From the Kreidler Remix exists 6 copies on 12" acetate. The production of the planned release was cancelled at this production stand.

Hope this helps.

JENS ;)

Thanks for the quick answer, Schwemmi!:)

But an acetate couldn't be a CD-R?
It's only a 12"?

All the so-called CDR acetates are simply cd copies.
The finally master for a cd is called "glas(s)master".

"Acetate" is the basic material for the lacquer foil of these acetate 7"/12"/....
Thats why this records shortly named as Acetates.

Well, I have got a proof of it...;-)))))))))

While contest shots my cat was very interested in all items which were placed on table, then Tim ruined the Singles 8698 promo Cube, after that Sey gave him "second life"..;-)

All packages which are arriving to my appartment carefully investigated by Tim and then i may open them..;-)

Not a secret, one day i will find cat-steps on cds surface!..;-)
