Listing ABF "Satellite" error in discography
I am not sure if this would be considered a "site suggestion" or not, but I was wondering if the discography was ever going to mention the error on
Satellite for the remastered CD and CD/DVD release of A Broken Frame (both US&UK versions have them), the way it does, in similar fashion, with
the error from the first pressing of the 101 remastered 2CD???? As far as I can tell, only the SACD layer on the CD and 5.1 Surround Sound and DTS
versions on the DVD play the song correctly. And as always, if anyone hears anything about a "re-release" with this mistake fixed, please U2U me, as
I would like to get it as soon as possible. Thank You.

Should be a great idea to update the site with the info we submit in the projects with the next updates.
The idea could be the following: with the first update worm could also introduce S&S album and singles projects updates, with the second update,
ABF album and singles and so on.
What do you all think?
And Worm what do you think, do you will have time enough?

After 1 year and half staying here and on Ebay, collecting a lot of UK releases and variations, I started writing a list of all MPO stuff and Nimbus
stuff to recreate a sort of "history" of DM first issues and reissues.
And I find a lot of errors and missings in depmod UK discography, so it's a good idea to start correcting and updating the discographies.
PS: About matrix there are many missing in the UK/EU discographies.
When I will finish I will post somewhere my discoveries.
Searching for:
XLBONG37: DARKEST STAR (UK CDR with exclusive cover artwork)
DJBONG15: BEHIND THE WHEEL (UK 7\" promo with unreleased version)
CDBONG17: PERSONAL JESUS (UK 3\" CDS with censored sleeve)

be aware that Lars has tons of scans in his email box : maybe better ask him what he has before waisting your time with scanning what we already
did
btw, a list of what he has is welcome...

Yes it would be very welcome! Usually I asked him before scanning because naturally I don't want to do something which has already been done...

At least could be a great idea to update the Alex projects.
I only scan the items for the new projects, now I'm scanning BC and BC singles items. In that way you avoid wasting your time and help with new items,
images and info.

I would like also to suggest not to submit uncomplete scan of an item if your are not able to do the whole... I know it's sound a bit weird... but
this happen a lot with 12" and almost only for the 12"... I think if you're a not able to scan the sleeve back and front but only the labels of the
vinyls... Someone will have to do the sleeve and this is harder and takes more time to do...
And I really prefer to see all scans from one specifical item coming from the same submitter... As scanner aren't all the same and also everyone are
not scanning the same way...
If you don't agree... you or others depmoid... I feel completly free to discuss it...

I totally agree with you
I can't scan 12" front and back sleeves, so I will only post the missing labels or labels of missing items on the Alex projects and not at the Depmod
site
Also if labels and covers are submitted by 2 different depmoids mistakes could happend when more that 1 variation exist

Not complete, but I made a lot of discoveries, looking at the matrix histories. For example the first rerelease of Personal Jesus in 5" format is from
late 1989 and not from 1992.
It's the one with MPO 01 matrix, while the scratched one was out around 1992 or later.
Another discovery that the fat box of 101 is a later edition (1991 or later). It was not released in the same month of the cardboard edition, because
the CDs included (I searched many times for a MPO 01 edition of fat box and never found it) are MPO 02 or mixed MPO 01/MPO 02, so it's clear that it's
a later release.
But also some other matrix are missing, I have tons of UK first editions which are not written here.
DIfferent stickers on Useless, wrong variations on Ultra, etc etc...
One strange thing more... I never saw a Little 15 DADC series A1 (always found A2) and the same is for See You.
Is there somebody here who has these CDs?
Searching for:
XLBONG37: DARKEST STAR (UK CDR with exclusive cover artwork)
DJBONG15: BEHIND THE WHEEL (UK 7\" promo with unreleased version)
CDBONG17: PERSONAL JESUS (UK 3\" CDS with censored sleeve)

Yes the fat box was a later re-release... It has never been released at the same time to the cardboard sleeve version, I remember perfectly the first
time I saw this fat double disc box version near around the first singles boxes release...

I just want to take the opportunity to thank everyone who is basicly pouring in new releases, pictures and information into the "projects:" it's
absolutely amazing and it feels this big project has taken off more then i ever expected! Thank you all for you work and efforts and for making depmod
an even better place to be!
I will not add more projects until the beginning of 2008.
/ alex - still have items to add and check in previous projects:
